Working title:
Sources for the history of the community on Carrickgollogan in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Background:
Carrickgollogan is a hill to the west of Shankill, Co. Dublin, mostly lying within the Domvile estate. By the early 19th century the hill was dotted with small farms but while the community survived the famine it was decimated by evictions in the 1860s.
